Stillmate Modular Alembic Pot Still Copper Condensor Kit

The alembic copper pot still condenser is a crucial component in the distillation process, primarily used to cool and condense alcohol vapours back into liquid form.
This Copper pot still condenser is a modular style design using all tri-clamp clamps and seals. It consists of a 2″-1.5″ reducer with thermometer port, a 135 °C/1.5 inch elbow, a 30cm long 1.5 inch long condenser, a 45 °C/1.5 inch elbow and a copper collection cup for collecting spirits.
The principle of the condenser is that when the vapours pass through the condenser tube, heat is transferred to the surrounding cooling water, causing the vapours to condense into liquid alcohol.
Copper is preferred because it reacts with sulphur compounds, improving flavour by removing unwanted harshness.
It also has excellent thermal conductivity, ensuring efficient cooling.
To compare with the SS Alembic copper condenser, this condenser has a much larger cooling area and condensing efficiency because of there’s muti-pipes inside the condenser, and there’s sufficient cooling water around the tube.
With a large area of cooling and a heat exchanger, you may run the distillation much faster than the SS Alembic condenser.
With a modular design, it will be compatible with a 2″sight glass/Gin basket and can add on more components like a copper onion, sight glass or sight glass with bubble plates below it.
