Hooloo Means Guard in Chinese, which exactly looks like a copper guard with elegant curve and shape.
The round pot kettle and the copper whisky helmet/onion on top of the pot just look like the design from the professional distillery. Both the round pot and whisky helmet will help to separate the “good Spirits’ from those unwanted chemicals by changing of pressure caused by the shape of the pot. That’s why most of stills designed in distillery end with all kinds of dome, helmet, onion or swan neck and etc. All these efforts will lead the desired character of the spirits made from those parts.
There’s choice to use this still for making Gin if you choose the version with sight glass as you can use the sight glass to run as Gin basket
Besides making spirits, this still also can be used for making essential oil, especially with sight glass version.
The still need to be heated either by a direct fire like gas burner, or an induction heater which you can buy from the Good Guys for around $30-$40. The advantage of using an induction heater is you can control the heating rate easily without worrying burning off.
The still come with an immersion pump and silicon hose.
