Milled grain recipe bag

Specialty Smoked Malt for providing the essential peat flavour in whisky production. Optional for Scottish and Strong Scotch Ales when stronger peat/smoked note is desired. Derived from Classic Gladfield Distillers malt smoked in-house at Gladfield using 100% New Zealant Peat to produce a phenol concentration of 40+ppm.

This malt derived from the classic Gladfield Distillers malt, it is made the same way up until the point of drying. At this point it is then introduced smoked in Gladfields in-house smoker using 100% New Zealand Peat. The resulting malt is infused with a traditional mild, soft earthy flavour with phenols 40+ppm.

This malt is primarily suited for making single malt whiskey but is also great when used to flavour Scotch ales or darker maltier beers.

Please note single malt does not mean using one literal malt for making whisky. A single malt means that it is made from one maker

and not blended from other makers.
